VoteMyBaby.com

  1. What is VoteMyBaby?

VoteMyBaby.com provides a fun way for you to view and rate others' Baby, Toddler and Preschoolers' photos. It is an absolutely free service, no hidden fee. Anyone can rate these photos on a scale of 1 to 10, (1 is NOT Cute, 10 is the Cutest). Viewers can select all or specific photo categories based on their interest. After rating a photo, the system will randomly present another photo for further rating.

The system allows up to 4 photos per membership in circulation for rating. You can upload more than 4 photos, but they just won't be all in circulation at the same time.

Of couse, cuteness, is in the eyes of beholder. So, relax, have fun, and enjoy the site!

  2. How do I get my photo onto the site?

You can upload a photo directly from your computer after logging into your membership account. Please do not send us photos via email asking us to post them for you.

  3. How do I decide what category my photo belongs in?

Photos are divided into three categories:

  4. - Babies: Children between the ages of 1 day to 12 months of age.
    - Toddlers: Children between the ages of 12 to 24 months of age.
    - Preschoolers: Children between the ages of 2 to 4 years of age.

  5. What if I am still not sure what category to put my photo?

    Use your best judgement.

  6. The system won't take my photo! How do I get it to work?

Make sure that the size of your photo is under 1 MB. The photo upload system supports following file types: 'bmp', 'gif', 'jpg', 'jpeg', 'png', 'tiff', 'tif', 'tga', 'jpe'.

If you have disabled your browser from accepting cookies, you need to enable cookies.

  7. Why wasn't my photo approved? It doesn't fit the criteria you list!

EVERY photo submitted for rating is first approved by moderators. The moderators decide which photos are accepted into the system. The criteria listed are merely guidelines.

If you're convinced your photo should have made it through, you can try resubmitting it.

  8. What are the photo criteria?

    - Child must be in the photo.
    - No sexually suggestive, advertisement, fake, lewd, overtly violent/grotesque photos.
    - Creative posing of your child is encouraged, but please don't cross the fine line of good taste.
    - Don't include any type of contact information (e.g. full name, email address, webpage URL, ICQ, AIM screenname, Messenger, etc.). Names of the place where your photo was taken are OK. First names are OK.

  9. I know my friends have voted on my photo already, but I don't see any votes when I log in to check my score! What's going on?

Votes are not tabulated instantly, they are counted every hour or so. Check your photo rating again later.

  10. Why can't I put my email address or website URL on my photo?

Some unscrupulous people may put your email on a SPAM email list. You wouldn't want that, would you? Neither would we.

  11. My friend put his/her photo on the site. Is there any way I can find it without looking through photos randomly?

The only way to go directly to a photo is by its direct link, which your friend can give to you. (they can find their direct link by logging in and looking in the "Your rating" section or by just looking underneath their photo).

  12. My rating and my votes don't seem to match. What's wrong?

Official VoteMyBaby.com scores are normalized and weighted to account for different individual voting behavior.

Many standard scoring systems use normalization techniques. We still give you the chart, which represents raw data, just for fun.

  13. You should know that this photo I found is inappropriate (sexually suggestive, advertisement, etc.)

Click "back" to go back to the offending photo. Look a few lines under the photo, and click the link "Flag this photo as inappropriate." Thanks for being a good internet citzen.

  18. How do I remove myself from a VoteMyBaby.com?

If you are logged into VoteMyBaby.com, a remove link will appear next to your score.

  19. Why do I keep seeing the same photos?

Currently, only a small number of photos are in circulation, so you will see some photos more than once....or repeatedly. We expect the situation to resolve itself as more people post their photos. If you don't like what you see, check back to us in a month or two. We promise, the site will improve!
